When Tatra Banka briefed us in 2023 to develop an avatar for their new financial literacy program, we knew we had to create something special. They needed a unique character who could teach financial literacy in the most playful way possible. Attracting their toughest customers. Kids. We answered this call by creating TABI, the first virtual avatar for children in Slovakia.

Create a unique character that would guide kids through the world of finance in a playful, captivating way. And, so came TABI.
Rather than a single character, we created an entire interactive universe to explore and learn from. From money-growing trees, to mushroom piggy banks. Every piece is intentional. Every moment immersive.
We began our research with observing unknown marine organisms and technological developments. Soaking in as much as we could, finding inspiration to create a unique, playful character. Then, the process began with numerous sketches, exploring different body shapes, animal features, and types of movement until we arrived at the final design ready to be modelled. To achieve an interactive feel, TABI is fully customisable, so that children can reflect their own preferences based on their own style. Choose your own suit, your orbit, or accessories. Make TABI your own.
Every asset found in the campaign was designed, and produced from scratch by our CGI team. TABI is wholly animated by hand by one animator in our team, while the reference for the way TABI moves was filmed with a dancer, who was performing on trampolines to capture the fluidity representative of TABI's soft and plushy world. The postproduction is what took the campaign to the next level. prepisat na to, ze to bol final layer, ceresnicka na torte vibes.
Compositing and VFX added the necessary depth, while colour grading added the alien colour palette. Overall, this is the first spot in our production based entirely on Houdini simulations.
TABI's universe represents our vision of the future, a world where nature and digital technology come together in a symbiotic union, at a point when technology becomes so advanced it is indistinguishable from our natural world. And so, the anemone turns into a tree, and the tree grows money. A world visually impressive, yet educational.
